Kerry L. Hurwitz, J.D., M.P.A.

Kerry is an attorney with over twenty years of experience in the fields of financial services, health care, and education regulation. Kerry began her career in regulation as an Enforcement Attorney with the Massachusetts Securities Division, supervising the investigation and prosecution of financial fraud and malfeasance. After obtaining an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School, she worked as a Senior Enforcement Adviser with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, providing technical assistance in financial regulation and enforcement to government and self-regulatory agencies in eastern Europe. She also advised public officials, researched credit needs, and trained prosecutors and police in Zimbabwe and the Federated States of Micronesia. Her health care experience includes several years with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, assessing program compliance and facilitating workshops in communications and community-building for clinicians. Kerry's educational background includes assessing the effectiveness of writing programs for the Harvard Graduate School of Education, teaching legal writing at Santa Clara University School of Law, and work for individual clients on student confidentiality law. Kerry has a B.A. in History from Binghamton University, a J.D. from University of California - Hastings College of the Law, and an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, California, U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
